Very good customer service and counter service. Limited self service functions due to store size.

JD Dental Practice

110 Raddlebarn Rd, Birmingham B29 6HH, UK – 0121 471 3377

Great dentist surgery. Appointments are convenient and you never have trouble booking around work. The staff are lovely, helpful and very friendly and you will always get top quality treatment. Dr Khaled is very good at making you feel relaxed and excellent in explaining treatment options and future recommendations. Overall, a wonderful dentist surgery where you feel relaxed and welcomed, never embarrassed and your anxieties are instantly put at ease.

I came to this dental surgery after a terrible experience with a different one in the area, so I wasn't expecting much. I've never been happier to be wrong! Everyone from the reception staff to the nurses to Dr Khaled were wonderful - so friendly and welcoming, but with just the right amount of professionalism so you know that they know exactly what they're doing. I'm not even nervous about going back to have more work done. Thank you :-)

The Dental Surgery

213 Harborne Ln, Birmingham B29 6SS, UK – 0121 472 1525

I had to book an appointment here due to a dental emergency, as my usual dentist is based in South London. The practice is small but staff are friendly and attentive, and I felt comfortable and cared for throughout (despite not being the biggest fan of visiting a dentist!). Will happily return to this practice in future during term time in Birmingham.

A cosy dentist and very clean.staff are always friendly and polite.as a child i had a bad experience with a dentist and didnt go for ages till my dad bought me here to his dentist.daniel the dentist is the best dentist i have ever came across.he is caring, and know hows to put u at ease.he is amazing at his job and is all round a pleasure to know.many of times he has gone out of his way to see me and on occasion even came in on his days/morning off.now im old and my children, aunt and cousins, sister and nieces as well as my dad all come here.we could never rate a dentist higher than what we do daniel and i thank him for all he has ever done and will continue to do for us x

Dr P P Borg-Bartolo - Millennium Medical Centre

121 Weoley Castle Rd, Birmingham B29 5QD, UK – 0121 427 5201

Went for my copd appointment which went well, we had a chat about my old job which she gave me more confidence to talk about, the best nurse ever :)

I have been with the this practice for about 15 years now and have always been impressed by the caring nature of the doctors here. They have a difficult job to do in this area, but manage the task very well. The reception staff are fine and if you treat them courteously, that manner is reciprocated. I have never had a problem with them. I have had more than my fair share of medical problems, but each, in turn, has been dealt with very well and to my full satisfaction. The practice is efficient and caring; that is all that matters.

Moseley Medical Centre

21 Salisbury Rd, Birmingham B13 8JS, UK – 0121 449 0122

my first contact with new surgery has been very pleasant. Lovely caring receptionist. Helpful.

One of the rare real family GPs in the UK, husband and wife whom are really nice, occasional locums, really friendly reception and nurse staff. If you need round the clock care this place is not for you! Times are mainly in the morning but a few late clinics available.

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

Moseley Hall Hospital

1, Old Hall, Alcester Rd, Birmingham B13 8JL, UK – 0121 466 6000

Fantastic' hospital ! Staff friendly and helpful, I'm not a hospital lover, But Moseley Hall' has to be the best ever x

My mother was admitted to Ward 6 at Moseley Hall Hospital. She stayed there for 6 weeks until she sadly passed away on 27th June. Every member of staff that was involved in her care and comfort were amazing. They were all so kind and caring to both my mother and the visiting family. This made the last few weeks of her life as good as it could have been, given the circumstances of her failing health. Thank you to everyone on Ward 6 from all the family of Emily Carlyle.

West Heath Hospital

Rednal Rd, Birmingham B38 8HR, UK – 0121 466 6000

My sisterinlaw was in this hospital and they where very good to her and family my sisterinlaw was doris abraham .she like to be called betty . Sadly pass a way ..thank you all for being so good to her ..

A member of my family is currently in this home and has been for a a couple of months. Some staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble but then are other members of staff that have no compassion to the resident or to the family member. It is very important that staff realize that a families loved one is in the unit and they should be careful how they talk about that person as i have had to make a complaint in regards to the way we have been spoken to and also my family member. I do not think that enough is done with the residents and they seem to just be put in the day area and no activities take place or one to one chats with the resident. I find that a lot o the time the staff are huddles together talking and eating and are not concerned about what is going on. We have had issues with dirty laundary being sent home with soiled pads in and also lost clothing which is very annoying. The home is kept very clean and the meals for the residents seem to be healthy and of a good variety. I feel it is very important for all staff to think about how we feel as family as some of the attitudes stink compared to others

Parkview Clinic

The staff are all lovely on the ward I was in. Even if I didn't see that when I was there. They put all there time and effort at work for you to feel comftable and as happy as you can be whilst you are there. I think it's one of the best phycriatric hospital in brum. 💜 Shout out to my nurses and csw 💙👌🏻

Great skip hire company! Quick and efficient. Special mention to Steve who was incredibly helpful and ensured the smooth removal of skips and waste. Thank you!

Great service. Came early the next day after we placed the order for a skip in Bournville. We found prices competitive. Would use again for sure. Wife says very helpful on phone too

71 Slingfield Rd, Birmingham B31 3DZ, UK – 0121 244 4941

Best skip company by far very fast professional service

As a local contractor, I started using Steve and his company in June 2016. We use on average 2 skips for every job we do and have the pleasure in dealing with Birmingham south skip hire. They are very reliable in both delivery and collections. They price they quote is the price you pay. Other companies charge you more for mixed loads but Steve doesn't and keeps his prices the same, regardless of what's in it. Steve, mark and Brian are a pleasure to work with and can not recommend them enough. In my professional opinion, the best skip hire company in the midlands.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Birmingham

One of the most authentic Pakistani cuisine in the UK by far. Service is excellent, atmosphere is calm and steady. Music is soft and slow. If you haven't ate at Kababish you haven't visited Birmingham. Portions are handsome and hygiene is at a high level. Toilets are clean. Just a superb place, definitely worth a visit.

Had a beautiful curry. Rang up quite late they fitted us on a Friday Evening too. Great interior and has a wall fame there of famous people that have eaten worth a quick look if you go!

Paprika Grill House

9 Raddlebarn Rd, Birmingham B29 6HJ, UK – 0121 472 2137

I took 13 people to Paprika for a celebratory lunch and the whole experience was first class. Beautifully cooked fresh food and the service was outstanding. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Mr husband is currently in St Mary's Hospice and whilst I was visiting I decided to order online within walking distance. I choice Paprika Grill and I was not disappointed, I selected my food and my collection time. When I arrived I was greeted by very friendly staff and the young lady was finishing off packing my order up. Food was freshly cooked, very tasty and portion size was more than ample.

Nursery and Preschools

Selly Oak Nursery School

26 Tiverton Rd, Birmingham B29 6BP, UK – 0121 472 1700

Amazing nursery! Children were ahead of the curriculum when ready for reception. They care deeply for all families while going above and beyond to ensure every child has the best start to their education in a areas, maths, art, forest school, English all children leave with maths and writing skills

When I initially applied for my son to have a place at Selly Oak Nursery School, it was because it was an outstanding rated nursery and I wanted my precious 3-4 year old little boy to have the best start to his educational life as possible. What struck me as unique about the nursery was its clear emphasis on education for the future, whilst at the same time nurturing each child in the present as an individual who could be all that they choose to be. I was not looking for a nursery, I was looking for a lot more than that. I was looking for a nursery school, and as such wanted a place that was more than just a childcare provider and that offered my son the structure in education that he would need to prepare for the transition to Primary School. I had been continually impressed since his admission to the nursery with the staff, activities, learning opportunities and care given to my son. Before he began at the nursery he was a very different child; he was incredibly shy, barely talking much at all to anyone outside of his family group, and slightly delayed in his speech and communication. What I wanted for him was a place he could call his own, where he would learn for the future and be part of an inclusive community of children and teachers. This wonderful place provided him with that in the bucket load, and I will always be grateful for that. He is now a 5-year-old who has almost finished Reception at an outstanding primary school, who is confident both in terms of the rigours of phonics and mathematics, but also importantly with himself as an individual. The nursery gave him the chance to know what it is to be part of a school community, one where he was cared for in a genuinely positive and encouraging way, and gave him the chance to flourish. Selly Oak Nursery School turned my little boy from a child that was introverted, shy, and anxious, to a child that is supremely confident, infectiously curious, and incredibly keen to learn. The nursery embraced anything that interested my son, and opened his eyes to so many new interests ranging from minibeasts, 3D shape drawing, mud kitchens, bread making, role play, sitting down and reading stories, construction... I am so proud of him, but more importantly he is proud of himself, which is such a happy thing for me to see. My child would not have flourished half as much in a structured Primary School environment (where he is now meeting and exceeding expectations) if it were not for the approach Selly Oak Nursery School took with him and his learning – so much so that my youngest daughter will be attending the Nursery School in September. This place is more than just its outstanding OFSTED report; it is an outstanding community of teachers, parents and children, with a strong belief in the importance of education for all children. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.

Weoley Castle Nursery
